I’ve wanted to be a writer my whole life—or more precisely, a storyteller. Back in elementary school, I used to hunch over my desk or sit out in the schoolyard during recess, scribbling down the stories I had dreamed up.

Even at a young age, I knew I wanted to be a writer. But for some reason, life had a few detours in store for me. I started out working in the film industry, then tried my hand at journalism, followed by copywriting and marketing, where I spent nearly a decade.

Eventually, I found my way back to writing novels and screenplays—and now I know for sure: this is where I belong.
